Startup Coalition is on Substack
It’s reset season… so at Startup Coalition, we’re having our own ‘reset moment’ and bringing you the first edition of our substack on the Monday of Labour Party Conference.
I wanted to take a moment to explain why we are going down this route and what we aim to achieve.
I wanted an outlet for a more frequent two way conversation with the community, where you can comment and ask questions about our policy recommendations, our research and wider political and legislative updates in real time.
I also want us to be able to use longer form content for those of you who are really engaged in a particular area, and keep the more bite-size updates for readers who are time-poor and just want the facts, quickly.
And finally, I wanted to be able to provide a space for Ministers, opinion formers and others in our tech ecosystem to be able to talk directly to startups, starting today with the new Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology Liz Kendall.
Please do provide feedback along the way - and of course the real test for us will be engagement rates on these different types of content and whether you’re sharing the substack with others in the community.
Best wishes,
Dom

This is a good platform so 👍🏻 Random question though, since when did we start referring to the UK’s ‘compute capacity’? Sounds ugly and wrong. It’s computing capacity, surely? Evs. Keep up the good work!
